How To Use Active Display

In case of Moto X it has “Active Display” feature which keeps the time flashing on the screen and the icon appears whenever there is a notification you just tap the icon, it will appear on the screen swipe it up and see the notification. If you swipe left or right you put the phone to sleep again and swiping down will unlock it. This feature is there by default and if you want to put it off go to the settings, go to active notifications, then to manage notification and select the option for your security you can apply PIN or pattern to keep your privacy.
How to Use The Camera
The Moto X has been made very sensitive and each movement has been given a meaning. Here in this case, just give a twist to your wrist twice and the handset will know you want to use camera. The phone will wake up and turn the camera on. Or, just swipe from the right to left on the lock screen and you go straight into the camera. Focus it and tap it anywhere on the screen, the camera will take the photo and in the camera mode, swipe from the left to go to the options like flash, HDR, and more. Swipe from the right will take you to the gallery to view your photos and videos. A pinch will zoom and pinch out will take you to a film reel view to you to quickly delete photos or videos just by swiping them away in any direction, up or down.
The screen in camera mode performs wonders. While in camera mode, Tap to focus option on from the dial and you can tap on the point or specific area you want to focus on in the picture. In case you wish to take multiple shots, just tap and hold on the screen. While recording video you can also tap on the screen to capture a still.
Motorola Assist
Motorola Assist is a very helpful app and is really helpful when you are busy and not in the position to attend the mobile phone. This feature can be access through assist icon in the application drawer. When you are driving and your GPS is turn on your Moto X will automatically sense that you are moving in a car and will turn on the driving settings. When the mobile phone receives the message you can tell it “Talk To Me”. The mobile phone is automatically starts reading the text to you. You give it a preset answer and it will send the message you are driving. In case you receive a call while driving you can tell it to answer it or reject it and similarly they are other automated functions are set in this smartphone and the device takes the appropriate action according to the command.
