Huawei Honor Holly Quick Review of the handset
Huawei Honor Holly is a new device by Huawei that has been announced in October 2014 and is already in the market available for sale. This is a smartphone that works of 2G and 3G networks. It has the mixed opinion in the market some people do not have really a good experience about it whereas others have a mixed sort of experience combining good and bad performance features. It has IPS LCD capacitive touch screen 16 colors 5 inches in size having 720x 1280 pixels resolutions that comes to 294ppi density. It is multi touch and has Huawei Emotion UI 2.3. In physical dimensions it measures 142.2×72.3×9.4mm. It weighs 156 grams. It is proportionate in size and convenient to hold in hand and to operate single handed. Considering the size of the smartphone the weight does not seem to be much and is comparable other devices available in the market. The display gives an acceptable quality of picture.
The handset runs Android operating system 4.4.2KitKat with Huawei Emotion UI 2.3. This is the standard operating system which is easy to use and increases the life of the battery because the operating system consumes very less power to run the handset.
Huawei Honor Holly is powered with Quad Core 1.3 GHz cortex A7 processor and for the graphics it is provided with Mali 400MP2. The device is also equipped with MediaTek Mt6582 system on chip. The handset has 1GB RAM and moderate memory of 16GB with a provision to extend via microSD card. The extended memory goes up to 32 GB. Considering the modern trend in the smartphones 1GB RAM is not enough and shows the low configuration of the device. The on board integral memory of 16 GB is also moderate in size and not really a big storage capacity. To some extent it has been compensated by microSD card to provide some space for storage of data.
The handset is also provided with two cameras. The primary camera consists of 8 mega pixel capacity having 3264×2448 pixels resolution and has the features like auto focus, LED flash, Touch Focus, face deduction, Panorama and HDR. It has the video recording capacity at 1080p. The secondary camera located in front is of 2 mega pixel capacity. This low configured device has been completed in all aspects though at a limited level.
Huawei Honor Holly is energized with Li-ion 2000mAh battery which really is not very powerful. The battery capacity does not really impress us and it seems it has a limited talk time and standby time on both the networks. However it meets the minimum requirement of smartphone.
Going through the comments about this device, it does not carry very high opinion and seems to be a common sort of handset with not very impressive specs.
