Wileyfox Spark, Spark Plus and the Spark X: Lighting up the Flame
We have a new phone that is ready spark the budget phone market just once more. Wileyfox is a British manufacturer of smartphones that has been out of the game for quite a while now. The company has come back to life bringing new phones to the users. The phones have been named as the Wileyfox Spark, Spark Plus and the Spark X.
The base model of the phones is the Wileyfox Spark which has a 5-inch screen operating at resolution of 720p. The phone comes in with a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processorpowering the operations under the hood. The phone comes in with a low 1GB RAM which makes it a device with less ability to take on heavy tasks. The phone also has made space for the microSD card and a nice 2200mAh battery. Despite better modules being there in the market, Wileyfox has opted to provide us users with a standard 8 MP Camera on the front and the rear end of the phone. This phone does not boast a stellar lineup but the price tag on the device definitely puts the things in perspective. The Wileyfox Spark costs about £89.99 which is quite low for a smartphone.
In terms of software, all of the Wileyfox phones are powered by Cyanogen OS. Cyanogen has shown great promise in the premise of custom ROMS. The software is developed on top of Google’s Android OS. The company has shown great promise because of its always active and vibrant community of developers and the additional features added on top of the Google’s sweet Android.
If you have a little more to spend on your device, you can opt for a Spark+ model. It bumps the RAM up to 2 GB, and storage to 16GB. Also, the primary shooter has a more generous 16MP sensor. You might expect quite a high price difference between the two models but the Spark+ costs about £114.99. For not that high a price difference, you get a desirable bump in the phones specifications.
There comes another model termed as a Spark X which comes with an increment in the screen size. The Spark X has a5.5-inch screen and has a larger 3000mAh battery in store for us. The screen resolution however remains buckled at 720p.The Spark X comes at a price of £129.99 which is not quite great a price. Amazon is going one step further by throwing ina free protective case and a free screen replacement insurance for a year.
The company is a rather less famous manufacturer of smartphones but the Spark phones have definitely lit a flame in the market with their new additions to realm of Smartphones. The phone offers quite everything a phone must have at a really decent price.
