The year 2014 has gone past and now we are in 2015 with new hopes, new resolutions and new things to see. Here in the field of electronics we are looking forward to consumer electronics show (CES) with expectations to see many new things. This is a platform where big manufactures display their expertise and new once try to make their way to the market. Here we are particularly concern with smartphones and tablets that we are expecting at CES 2015.
Presently the companies are keeping their new products secret till thay pull the curtain on the specific day of CES and for now we only have the rumors and some news about their products. Let us see what CES 2015 brings for us.
Samsung
Samsung is a big name in the industry and will never miss the occasion of CES to announce its new products. It is planning to announce Galaxy S6 and Edge on this occasion which are being developed right from the scratch to the final shape with curves on the both ends which is being discussed quite a lot. There are some rumors in the media about the specs of these two models of Galaxy S6. They are going to have 5.2 inches and 5.5 inches displays with 1080 pixels resolution density that is QHD and we expect Snapdragon 801/810 system on chip in the devices.
HTC
HTC is another company that is won the race in very short time and it has released ONE M8 last year in March which grabbed the market successfully and gave a good reputation to the company. However in the competition with others it lacked in certain aspects as compared to QHD with big RAM’s handsets. Now removing these short comings HTC is planning to release new flagship HTC One M9 Hima at CES 2015. There are rumors that HTC may launch and present this new handset separately from CES and MWC both. However HTC has sent the invitations to the panel for CES.
HTC Hima is going to be a QHD smartphone having 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution display and would be powered with 3 GB of RAM and Snapdragon 810 system on chip. Now it will have 20.7 mega pixel main camera instead of Ultra pixel camera and will also have 13 mega pixel selfie camera. The smartphone would be powered with 2840 mAh battery which does not impress the users much but company have managed the power in a wise manner and this battery would suffice for good backup time.
Sony
Sony is another giant in the industry and always upgrades its flagships every six months. It is going to announce its new Xperia Z4 smartphones and tablet. It has already declared its intentions to announce its teaser video that is something ultra thin smartphone or you may call it tablet as well.
From Sony we expect Xperia Z4 in the CES 2015 with 5.2 inches screen having QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. it will powered with Snapdragon 805 system on chip and has 3 GB RAM. The compact version of the device will have 4.7 inches display and the ultra thin tablet will carry 6.44 QHD screen.
Xiaomi
Xiaomi is not going to miss the occasion and with an effort to push the company up in the graph of success it is going to launch its new flagship Xiaomi MI5 or Mi4s at CES 2015. Xiaomi has also earned good reputation in short time and is an active player in the market. The Mi5 is really going to be a stunning product with good proportions in dimensions and screen size. We expect Mi5 with 5.7 inches screen having 1440x 2560 resolutions with sapphire glass. It will be powered with 64 bit Octa Core system on chip and will have a camera from 20.7 MP Sony Exmor with the estimated price tag of only $325.
LG
LG is coming back in CES 2015 with freely bending G Flex with the name LG G Flex 2. The detailed specs are not known but it is going to have a smaller display with better resolutions; maybe it is 6 inches screen with 720 pixels resolutions. This low resolution is a technical constrain. Although it has been a long time desire of LG to launch this device and now probably the engineers have succeeded in accomplishing this wonderful job and it would be launched at the occasion of CES 2015.
Asus
Asus has also declared its intentions to participate in CES 2015 with its new ZenFone series. Not much is yet known about the devices but the CEO of the company is very hopeful that it would be something wonderful; initially to be launched in Chinese market only and later it would be globalized. The only details we know about it that it will carry 5.5 inches screen.
Conclusion
CES 2015 is a land mark event in the industry of electronics which sets a target date for the companies to complete their homework and be ready to appear in the show with their new products. This show is a platform to display your experties and earn the business and for the consumers it is a good opportunity to see new things and buy new things of their choice. These shows are good for healthy competition and development of technology.
