USB Type C, Its Usage and compatibility with Smartphones
There was a time in early stages of mobile phone that each had its own connector cable basically for charging. No two different devices could use the same connecting cable. Gradually the research proved the need for a uniformed and standard connector cable that is compatible with all devices. Every device now has a USB port for charging cable and data transfer but each different from other. The ultimate answer found out is USB Type-C and that is going to be the new standard compatible with all devices. Here in this article we are examining it as a future standard for charging and means of data transfer.
Shifting towards microUSB took quite a few years and did not happen suddenly. Initially each company had its own design and made the accessories accordingly which were not compatible with others. The origin of new cable is based on standardization of this essential accessory that could be used for all smartphones, tablets, battery packs etc. presently OnePlus 2 and Apple’s new Macbook are the only ones using this cable and probably might have given the thought to all to make it standard universally and making it easy for the users to find it anywhere. Once this becomes standard then there would be no need to look for the particular cable for your particular device.
Presently this cable cannot be used for all the devices and if this cable is to be used, a user would require an adapter for this. The biggest advantage of this USB Type C is that it is reversible and there is no right or wrong side. The both sides of the cable are the same and can be connected on either side.
A USB Type-C port will offer multiple advantages; it will be universally compactable with all devices and with similar both sides, no wrong or right side. It provides faster charging than the already existing cables. USB type A and Type B have the different terminal on each side therefore canoe be used on all devices and they remain restricted to the particular device. This restriction will be removed by adopting a universal standard which is going to be USB Type C. there will be no problem if you forget to carry it with you or it may be lost. Since the new standard is compatible with all therefore easily available.
