The company has the plan to revolutionized the future with their all new Snapdragon Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner which seems to be more efficient and better than Apple’s Touch ID and it is expected that this Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner may obsolete the password protection completely.The Qualcomm shared some details about their upcoming Snapdragon Sense ID 3D Fingerprint technology which is based on a biometric system. This fingerprint technology is related to the inbuilt ultrasonic based biometric reader with a sequence of algorithms that allow the Smartphone to scan and catch user’s fingerprints from any part of a mobile phone.
The usage of the fingerprint scanner is not new and most of the devices come with this feature but, the upcoming Ultrasonic fingerprint reader is more secure than ever. Qualcomm’s claimed that;
"Snapdragon Sense ID 3D Fingerprint Technology is simple in use and had a distinctive use of ultrasonic technology revolutionizes biometrics from 2D to 3D, allowing for great security and perfect accuracy to maintain the privacy with stronger authentication."
The interesting thing about this 3D fingerprint scanner from Qualcomm is that how the scanner works? Fundamentally the scanner gathers and arranges the ultrasonic waves to authenticate and recognize the user's fingerprint. Now the question arises that how this ultrasonic scanner is different from Touch ID which is able to read fingerprints even when they are wet, perspiring or covered with dirt. Here the Qualcomm fingerprint scanner makes twist and make the users amaze for a while because the new Snapdragon Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is able to read and scan the fingerprints from any materials such as plastic, glass, sapphire, stainless steel or aluminum. According to the Qualcomm, their new Snapdragon Sense ID 3D Fingerprint Technology is also perfect and provides the incredible accuracy and users has no need to swipe their finger again and again for their fingerprint reorganization. On the other hand, the technology is minutely refined and able to read and capture the fingerprints in three dimensions including fingerprint ridges and sweat pores of hand. The scanner is able to copy the fingerprints and forward them to the device for reorganization.
This upcoming Qualcomm Sense ID 3D Fingerprint scanner is workable with Snapdragon 400, Snapdragon 600 and Snapdragon 800 chipset series. The handsets bear this technology will be released in the fourth quarter of 2015 or initially in 2016.
