The mobile phones and other such communications have become a store house of personal data containing all personal information that you do not like to share with others. All your media files containing pictures and videos will be hidden without having any extension or any content. This will hide all media files from any app trying to interact with them.
Once you hide your files from others, make sure they are accessible to you and you need to enable viewing of hidden data inside your File Manager otherwise you will lose it because you cannot access it.
