FireFox OS has Emerged On The Surface
Firefox initiated this project to develop an open source operating system for smart phones and tablets. Its main characteristic was contemplated to be HTML5, Java Script open web APIs in order to enable direct communication with cell phone with this approach and latter developments it developed a complete rival system against Apple’s iOS and Google Android and quite a few others.
It was first demonstrated openly in 2012 on a Smartphone that was capable with Android and later in 2013 it launched a full flagged operating system for the smart phones.
In the mobile industry Mozilla is also making progress as a fast pace and is challenging Apple and Google with its FireFox OS, and now it is not at developing stage but is well developed. New options of ‘Copy-paste and find-my-phone’ tools cover any shortcoming.
Firefox Operating System developed by Mozilla will break the monopoly of Google and Apple and its version includes even better options.
The system is already in the market, but an official of the company told operating system will be finally tested at the end of July to prove its superiority over the previously celebrated ‘Androidesque’ performance.
Mozilla’s new Firefox OS contains features like;
• copy and paste support,
• a comprehensive search mechanism to launch apps and switching,
• an effective lock screen,
• A FindMyFox phone locating feature, remote wipe, location tracking by phone emitting noise.
• Integration with Firefox Accounts,
• New features for creating ringtones from music.
However Microsoft, BlackBerry, and Palm are not at all worried about there new competitor and they believe nothing can compete their operating system and will have no effect on their clientele. On the contrary Mozilla is resolute that the data will not only be confined to Google and Apple technology apps and services. They have t he collaboration of LG electronics and Telefonica to realize their dream.
Firefox OS is not likely to give a big leap to Mozilla technically. Android and iOS have already gained much space and Fire Fox is not likely to make any difference. In case Fire Fox OS finding and installing a web apps is just as simple as browsing a website without going through Google.
Firefox OS 2.0 is going to add some additional features, for example:
• Edge-swipe gestures.
• Swiping through the apps in either way.
Mozilla OS needs to be more efficient to touch gesture; presently the lag between swipe and response is annoying for the customers.
How to install the FireFox OS On Smart Phone
Before doing that you must know the prerequisites for downloading and installing this operating system on your phone. If it supports, go to mozilla.org/mobile and tap on the download button.
• The Google Play app appears with the notification of Fire Fox installation location.
• Press the button to install.
• You must accept terms and conditions.
• Now the installation will start.
• Select the updating time of your FireFox browser.
• Your installation is complete and browser is ready to use.
