For using the Android Pay the users need smartphone or tablet running Android KitKat version or later versions. This feature is present in most of the Android devices which belong to the KitKat tribe and if anyone has the older version the Google Pay platforms support them. Users can check the software version in their smartphones, go to Settings > About Device. The wireless carrier selection is not important for this. It depends upon where your mobile device is anchored, meaning the carries that supports it. The next you need to know is whether your device has NFC, radio to communicate with PoS terminals and most of the Android Phones have it. Fingerprint scanner is not required for Android Pay and if the device does not have fingerprint scanner, it will have other safety feature known as PIN code. However Android Pay feature can be used in the USA only and all other countries do not have this facility.

Although no electronic system is 100% secure, but Android Pay has been made safe to the maximum possible extent. It is fairly safe because no sensitive data is passed to the merchant and you get the track record of the transactions made for monitoring and tracking any false payment and suspicious activity. In case of lost of your device you can lock or wipe it using Android Device Manager and there is no need to cancel your cards registered with Android Pay.

This is a big achievement through a smartphones or tablets that money can be transferred without any fear of any lose. Life is made easy and the transitions are made faster. Presently it is available in USA only but hopes fully the feature will hit the other regions in near future.
